When Kevin Leurquin boarded a plane bound for Nepal, he thought his adventure would be about mountains, mission work, and maybe a few cups of ginger tea. He didn’t know it would also lead to the wagging tail and boundless energy of a three-legged dog who would change his life forever. 

By the time Eileen rooks clipped into her first route at Smith Rock State Park, the morning sun was already lighting up the canyon walls like fire.
